She has written or co-authored a number of books focused on gender and foreign policy including Sex and World Peace (2012), which outlines how the security of women is a key factor in the security and peace of the state. She is also the founder of The WomanStats Project, which seeks to develop the most comprehensive database on the situation and status of women throughout the world.
